Palliative Care Queensland

The 2023 Palliative Care Queensland Annual Summit promises to be a thought-provoking and insightful gathering, bringing together influential speakers from across the nation to dive into the Latest Insights and Initiatives in Queensland’s Palliative Care Sector.

Earlier this year, Palliative Care Queensland hosted ten roundtables focused on workforce issues across regional, remote, rural and metro region as well as aged care and palliative care services for First Nations People. The outcomes of these roundtables and the multiple engagements with stakeholders have provided PCQ with rich knowledge and experience, which led to develop the themes for the 2023 Annual Summit. Issues related to workforce, access, culture, care for under 65’s, Compassionate Communities, the hospice network and aged care will guide our discussions throughout this event, which will be the catalyst for developing PCQ’s 2024-2025 sector priorities and key improvement areas. This document not only represents the challenges and opportunities faced by the palliative care community, but also stand as the foundation upon which we will build a brighter future for the sector.

The 2023 Palliative Care Annual Summit and Awards is an opportunity to come together, learn, and collaborate, ultimately advancing the sector to ensure the best possible support for palliative care in Queensland.
